Banh Mi refers to a kind of sandwich that consists of a Vietnamese single-serving baguette, also called bánh mì in Vietnamese, which is split lengthwise and filled with various savory ingredients which often include pork, pâté and pickles.
Cook along with Corinne Trang, chef and author of the award-winning book “Authentic Vietnamese Cooking” and “Food Lovers Vietnamese: A Culinary Journey of Discovery” for a primer on Banh Mi. Discover different fillings used in this classic and popular Asian sandwich. In this workshop we’ll learn to make a steamed pork pâté with salted eggs, anchovies and cellophane noodles, a grilled lemongrass-garlic pork tenderloin, instant pickled carrot, daikon & cucumber, and homemade garlic-chili sauce. Cha Lua the steamed Vietnamese bologna will be available for tasting as well.

ABOUT THE CHEF
