Join us from 1pm to 4pm for an afternoon of bacon & bloodies featuring David Founded ‘Criminal Bacon’, now stocked in the bluecashew fridge! We’ll be noshing on BLT Skewers and sippin’ on local bloodies by Toma with Hudson Valley Distillers Spirits Grove vodka, and a bacon jam demo starting at 1:15pm sharp! Thick sliced or crumbled, stock up and let David Founded fill all your smoked & cured New Years celebration needs!
David Mimeles began curing and smoking bacon as a hobby but quickly began receiving requests for purchases. After exhaustively researching bacon — different cures, different smokes, different breeds of pigs — he discovered that, simply stated, there are a few that remain “a cut above.” Armed with this arsenal of information, David created “Criminal Bacon,” cured for 14 days with salt, pepper, garlic, juniper berries and thyme. Smoked in pecan and applewood in David’s custom-built smoker and then sliced thick.
