Aperitifs with Tess Kelly, Séraphine Workshops

Ahhh, l’heure de l’apéro–that magical time of day when work is ‘fini’ and it’s not quite yet time for dinner.  To repose with a glass of something lovely in hand, enjoying a nibble on something savoury….whetting the appetite for what’s to come.

In this workshop with Tess Kelly, we’ll dabble in the savoury nibble arts, whipping up delicious bites meant to be enjoyed with a drink in hand, surrounded by friends and loved ones; and then engage in our very own l’heure de l’apéro consuming the fruits of our labor with a taste of Lillet in hand.

On the menu: Walnut Pesto Tartinettes, Potato Chips with rosemary salt, Fricos with apples & cheese and everyone’s favorite OG cheesey poof….the Gougère.  May your cocktail hours forevermore be très sophistiqué!

ABOUT THE CHEF
Tess Kelly is a pastry chef and founder of Séraphine Workshops. She relocated to France in 1986 where she developed her love of French cuisine. She apprenticed under the chef of the pâtisserie she lived above in Paris. Madame Bernard took her under her wing and generously shared the art and love of baking French pastries and French cuisine.

After working for several years in the restaurant business in New York City, she opened Séraphine Bakery in 2014.  Since then Tess has developed hands-on workshops for children and adults. Her desire to feed people and share the art of preparing food is the basis of all of her cooking and baking classes.
